Video Format

The setting the video was captured in, classified from transcript shape: floor speech, committee hearing, press conference, TV interview, podcast/radio, selfie-cam address, rally, or produced segment.

Format is the single strongest context for every other choice — a hearing clip and a selfie-cam address play by different rules for pacing, framing, and packaging. Knowing which formats out-perform for a given member is the first routing decision for content strategy.

Each value below shows two numbers when available: Regular/Shorts is the effect on a typical video, and Top 10% is the effect on the videos that broke out (top decile of views). Use the Top 10% column to see what disproportionately helps videos that go big.
